Well, I don't really think it feels as good as a legitimate interaction like this, but I think it works well as a quick pick-me-up when you're desperate for some attention.
By farming (You)s not only are you getting attention, but because you purposefully set out to bait people you can also get the feeling of having successfully accomplished a goal.
