This is like... there are only really 2 mainline CS games that I like. 1.6 and GO.

I don't really get along with Source (I think it looks odd, feels slidey, feels weird to play, the gun animations are weird, etc) or 2 (very bad art design, charms look ridiculous).

1.6 is just classic and GO... even though I don't like the weighty feel of the movement... other than that it's pretty solid. Oh, I also wish that somehow the skybox issue could be fixed, and the smokes could look the same from every angle. Maybe these are things that could be fixed in one of the alternate GO versions like Supremacy.

Anywho, this is pretty cool! Maybe I can finally start watching some more CS matches again. As for playing it... I tend to mostly play Condition Zero as it's mostly just 1.6 with bots and more maps.

They just have created a separate page for csgo on steam. It was never unavailable to play. Only there were no valve servers and neither is now. Community servers have always been playable.

I get that but it does matter how accessible a game is.

It's much easier to install and play it now which means more people will play it which probably means more CSGO content and interest ^_^
