started listening to solo artists and virtuosos back in 2008. back then i didn't have a set taste in music, i mostly liked guitar stuff back then.
now for the past 3 years, iv come to appreciate instrumental music much more than before. to the point where a singer or a vocalist can upset me.
the world of instrumental music is broad, and unknown. and many of the popular instrumental artists are not properly credited for their creations. (especially DJ's and lofi/chillpop artists).
there are many musical styles to choose from, the obvious ones would be classical music, classical jazz, and electronic. but if you want to dig deeper there are lots of R&B,hiphop, blues and funk artists that make instrumental music as well.
the most notable style of them all would be jazz fusion. a genre that has expanded throughout the years. many jazz purists don't like anything other than classical jazz and swing. but i believe that anyone who likes good music would listen to fusion, smooth jazz and jazz-funk too.
