Before the industrial revolution members of society had more control of problems affecting their lives, there was no large powerful organization that can meaningfully monitor, locate, and prosecute individuals or one that affects their safety or livelihood which an individual has no control over unlike the society that we live in today.
We were not alienated from our labour and had a say in the issues affecting our daily lives in a meaningful way either through a small collective or through individual freedoms that modern society lacks.
You didn't have to work 8 hour shifts to be able to meaningfully live all you needed to do was hunt 2 times a week to be able to meaningfully live, there was no issue of hypergamy or inceldom, whether you live or not is totally up to your control there are no manmade external forces to influence your life.
Whereas a cyperpunk esque world would promise social cohesion and minimizing inequality yet there will be no freedom we will be constantly monitored using algorithms those who live in worse areas will be systemically persecuted and those who are unable to integrate into society where you had to work 6 days a week for 10 hours a day would be called "mentally ill"
There would be no patriarchy in job fields resulting in women occupying a lot of jobs inversely women would occupy a majority of STEM led fields due to DEI and ease of entry compared to their male counterparts.
Men will no longer be necessary in society since women can be the providers and now the protects due to genetic modification, hypergamy is rampant, there are ai partners that you can be with. Corruption is at an all time high and decisions handled by a few can have meaningful impacts on society, the natural world, and humanities survival
