Some of them take it too far, and fall into full blown schizophrenia, but thats about every single normie train of thought condensed into some few words.

"Just manifest it, bro"

"just buy my healing crystals, bro"

"just buy my new course, even though my first 500 old ones didnt help u a single bit, they were just warm up, bro"

"if you pay me 1000+ bucks to me bro, ill allow you the privilege go with me and 50 other desperate losers into the woods, walk 10 km in the deep forest and meditate near this waterfall, i swear all your deep seated traumas will vanish unto the waters healing properties, bro"

and MY FAVORITE ONE

"just pay 5 HUNDRED DOLLARS AN HOUR for a therapist to say to you basic ass shit that's so lame and surface level noise BS, maybe even an 8 yr old kid could come up with better things if you ask it for advice, bro"

They are useless. Any bad shit that happens to them is deserved.

Normie's in their brain (if they had one) after seeing their therapist for the 2756th time (without anything getting better BTW): "maybe if i just drank some warm milk and fell asleep watching the new peppa pig episode about the power of friendship and forgiving, like suzy said i should have done, there wouldnt be 500 dollars missing from my bank account, god damnit!!" HAHAHAHAHA

Beliefs like manifestation are the result of a trifecta of being terminally online, sheltered, and mentally ill (and on top of all that, often privileged as well). Problem is, these days that describes a huge chunk of the population, which is why despite being a flat earth tier belief, manifestation is unironically believed by millions.

Seeing the popularity of such beliefs really challenges my social libertarian leanings. While I'm a supporter of the first amendment, part of me believes that that world would be better off if some people were just told what to think. As in if someone falls below a certain threshold in common sense, they should not be allowed to be left to their own devices. It probably would be better for all parties involved, including those being controlled, if the government could steer such people away from schizophrenic delusions, or in the very least prohibiting such people from having reach. Of course pragmatically I wouldn't support that simply because I wouldn't trust the government to have proper judgement of what counts as common sense and who should and shouldn't have such restrictions, nor would I trust them not to simply abuse that power by restricting those they see as a threat to their power.

laws agaisnt charlatanistic opportunism already exist since a long time ago, in almost any decently civilized country.

Its just that they are basically never applied nor taken seriously by anyone, let alone amplified.

If they WERE taken VERY seriously, even major companies like nike and mcdonalds would have major consequences applied to the fullest extent of the law at LEAST once or twice every decade or so...
