What humans need is a healthy fucking balance. We don't live in an "egalitarian" society by any stretch of the imagination.

Proof: Just look at the typical budget of a family: the husband gets almost zero out of it besides the necessities of bare survival, while the kids cost almost nothing to maintain -- food, clothes, books are dirt cheap.

This guy was talking out of his ass. Most Native Americans weren't egalitarian at all, especially by modern day standards. Men and women simply played different roles, just like in European societies. Just like how it is supposed to be. The guy is cherry picking incidents go support his arguments. He ignores the many cases of Native Americans assimilating into European-American societies, which in some cases was voluntary.

You have all these weird people trying to rewrite history like women were not important in history. These women were mothers and wives, and they did carry a lot of skills and traits that society needs besides just childcare.
Back in the day, even as late as the 1800s women were the ones who had to take care of important shit like literally making clothes and tools from raw materials, preparing and cooking food from raw flesh, cleaning, farming, milling, tanning, and a myriad of other important duties. The average household was not complete without a dutiful wife who took care of these things. But people want to erase that out of stupidity.
