If it's just a clump of cells and not a person, then there should be no ethical implications of genetic engineering?
But we've decided that we will abort it, therefore hypthetical scenarios where the fetus is alive are not valid.Wrong if the fetus comes to life and has problems derived of the genetic manipulation.
This. Would at least make sense. Furthermore, it's a funny moment when someone who belongs to the taxon called "Metazoa" accuses others of being clumbs of cells. Life starts with the zygote (right after karyogamy), which would normally develop into a full human being with no human interference due to cell divisions and differentation - strictly from a biological definition. It's the killing of a human being and if you just call it by its just name (without any euphemisms) you can have a debate about pros/cons because this would be a sign of honesty at least. Strictly from a deontological viewpoint abortions/research cannot be tolerated, but from a teleological viewpoint you can make all kinds of points. If it's just a clump of cells and not a person, then there should be no ethical implications of genetic engineering?
I bet that everyone would just make blond hair, blue eye designer babies if they could.genetically engineer fetuses
This.Everyone with I.Q. > 85 knows that the only reason any "moratorium" exists on fetal tissue research is because that way, elites can pay their way into abusing the fuck out of it, launching themselves (and their genetic progeny) light years ahead of the rest of humanity while the retard masses bitch and moan over how to regulate it and how to "ethically" proceed.
Because of hypocrisy and virtuuuuuue signalling
