I’d venture to say Rayman 2 is the best platformer on the N64.

It’s the only platformer I really enjoyed on the N64 when I rented it back in the 90s. It still holds up as being the most graphically impressive. And it doesn’t have the childish “woohoo whee!” Sound effects of the other platformers like banjo kazooie or DK 64.

I remember I couldn't beat that game on my DS when I was 7, it was hard. Something very memorable is the dark gloomy feeling with the pirate invasion and the whole everglades/swamp (can't remember) setting. It gave that feeling of no hope.
