Acne literally stops me from going outside sometimes, when I look in the mirror sometimes and look at the scars and pimples it makes me want to rope.

What have you used so far, if anything?

FIRST LINE: Benzoyl peroxide and/or salicylic aid works for 80-90% of cases.
SECOND LINE: Retinoids work for 99.9%

You're a guy. So retinoids are no problem for you. I'm a medical resident and I know everything about this. It's completely solvable. There is literally no case of acne in the history of medicine that can't at least be significantly improved with medication.

Edit: I mis-read - you have scars and not current acne. In which case you might indeed be fucked, sorry.

I dont have acne anymore thankfully but I too have scars all over my back, chest and some deep ones on my face.

I'm 39. Have had acne since age 14.

My greasy skin is full of scars on top of scars.

Never tried accutan, all other treatments failed.

I had brutal acne from ages 12-16. I got rid of it at 17 by gymcelling and tanning. I was left with widened pores, which were red and hard to the touch. I got an expensive chemical peel online and did it for a few months, and it helped a lot. Derma needling also, supposedly, works well.

I had it bad as a teenager and it just stopped out of nowhere when I got to my 20s. It's genetic. I still have really oily skin though, I have to wipe my face like every 2 hours to get rid of it.
