No matter how great my life had been, I would rather die than sustain serious brain damage.
It is quite terrifying that there isn’t a suicidal method that is not at risk of making your life 1,000x worse if you botch the job. That is like an extremely cruel joke for everyone who wants to die.
Jumping off a building is also too messy and not instantaneous enough imo, I’ve read that 85% of those who survived an attempted suicide jump regretted it on the fall down as your brain undergoes huge stress in the scenario, this statistic included even those who continued wanting to die after the event.
I’ve even met a guy in rehab who has been shot in the side of the head and survived, he walks with huge a limp and can barely move his arm on one side of his body.
