Definitely. She wasn’t a cunt necessarily but I loved her so deeply that her rejection turned my life upside down. The emotional attachment was only this strong because I knew her for many years through family friends. Knowing a girl since you’re 10 years old makes you think you’re gonna end up with her, especially when she is actually nice to you. Then you realize it was all platonic and she chooses her boyfriend who cheated on her over you.

it was something risky i did and could have gotten us both kicked out of school, but we weren't even friends after

i believe this was a new development happening in the 2000s, where if a girl thinks she's better than you, and headed to a more prestigious highschool or college than you, then she won't even let you be her friend, let alone her boyfriend, all interaction with "losers" would be cut off at the roots
