this is it

i am sick and tired of public transportation and shit

i will commute on my bike 32-35 km each work day

JFL @ evert getting on a fucking bus

and I don't have money for a car right now and I hate traffic - the only way is my bicycle

the only problem is that this will get in a way with my approach tactics, but I will try to make it work

JFL I fucking commuting

How long will that take you? Are you physically fit?

I used to exercise a lot, at one point I was doing 20-24 km running every day, it feels great mentally to be physically exhausted, at least for me

1 hour in one direction (15-17km)

it's the same with the bus

going back home takes longer because I go late and the buses are every 15-20 minutes (I leave far away from where I work)

Sometimes I wait 20 minutes for a bus - in that time I can easily cover 10km with my bike.

that's a lot of running

I can't run long because my knee is fucked up

yes, being exhausted makes it EZ to fall asleep too and calms your nervous system

do you have a high vis shirt and decent helmet? also are the roads long and straight or short and slow?

have a shirt but only wear it at night

I have pretty good rear and front lights too

no helmet though

the roads are flat except for 2 hills

but they are not bike friendly except for the last 2-3km

i ride a mountain bike with front suspension that can be locked for greater speed

My fucking tire popped...
:feelsbadman::feelsbadman::feelsbadman:

replace it nikka and hop on
I live in a village and the nearest bike shop is too far away. I need to wait for my mum to be able to drive me there since I don't have a car.

You can't get a car, you hate traffic and you seem to like bikes... = dirtbike, scooter, motorbike????

u wont last tho

Tired of being a 5’3 turbomanlet :feelsbadman::feelscry::feelsrope:

lol i'd do it but im not waking up early for that shit and I already got the car

Jesus buy a helmet. Also you're really fast at biking. Wish I was that fit.

I did yesterday

going to work was tiresome but coming back was a breeze because it's mostly downhill

i am not that fast and my bike is not really designed for the road but it works well

takes me about an hour to cover 17km - it's not much but route is very weird and has hills in it on the way to wagecucking

Where do you live? Hahha that's so fucked,I would look like a fgt wearing one
australia, if youre riding that far every day its definitely a good idea to wear one, and theyre more aerodynamic than your head

Enjoy being soaked with sweat upon arrival :lul:

Good luck.
Keep a water bottle with you to hydrate

been doing this for a second week

skipped only on date day

bought new tyres for pavement for extra speed

will put them tomorrow cause today i don't have time

Still doing this.

I ride around 40-45km every day.

It's fucking insane but I fucking love it to the bone. I can't imagine going back to the bus.

I've been biking like crazy too since this thread. On a regular paved path/road with no stop signs on my mountainbike I now average around 13 miles per hour (21 km/h). I think I'm pretty fucking slow but I'm working on it.

City biking is too exhausting and stressful though - too much start/stop, traffic etc.

Is your ride relatively smooth or is it a lot of stopsigns/lights and traffic?

I'm biking at least 4 hours a week and I really enjoy it too. I find it very calming also and I think my body fat is going down a bit.

21km/h per hour is not that bad especially with a MTB on road.

I think I average around 25 depending on wind.

My ride is rather long - 15km to work with one very nasty hill. But going back is so ez. It's mostly a descent.

When I go home, I usually reach 49-51km/h down the same hill if I pedal hard.

I changed my MTB tyres with Schwalbe Big Ben MTB Tyre - RaceGuard

It's easier to ride with them as they have lower rolling resistance.

Yes, I also ride through traffic. The bike lanes where I live are basically useless.

It's dangerous but I can't imagine going back to public transportation. It's fucking hell.

I like your biking field reports much better than your approach reports tbh.
