I wasted my 20s drunkenly loitering around bars solo trying to talk to random people because I had no one.
While I was there, I was constantly surrounded by couples and groups of friends (sometimes multisex groups). These people were usually very rude when I tried to talk to them. I usually ended up talking to random old dudes.
What do I have to show for it? NOTHING. My life would not have been any different if I had just stayed home except I would have more money and probably less health issues down the road.
Also, some of these bars were BRUTAL social mogging. If I went to a "trendy" place the bartenders would completely ignore me and serve people who were standing beside or behind me.
As for "friends" I made, I don't remember any of their names. Nothing long lasting was achieved.
"Just go outside bro!!!!"
