Venting I want to like the Vivaldi browser but find it harder and harder to justify using it

My biggest problem with Chrome is that it doesn't support proper workspaces and isn't customizable enough. So I tried this browser that I've heard about that is supposedly customizable and supports niche use cases unlike mainstream ones. And while it is true, you CAN probably tailor it to your workflow, there are a lot of gaps that make me hesitant to safely recommend it to everyone.

1. Yes it supports workspaces. But you can't customize the start page when they are activated. It will always keep your last browsing session and this behavior can't be changed.

2. You can pin tabs in workspaces, but they are just that, regular pinned tabs, you will mess them up all the time by navigating to other pages, rearranging the order etc. And they always show minified. This isn't how I want it.

3. The UI is rather janky with animations, for example opening and closing tabs feels unsatisying and only gives me anxiety. These visual jumps don't make for a smooth browsing experience.

4. Some elements of the UI aren't fleshed out enough. For example, the bookmarks button is unintuitive. You press it, and the current page gets added to you bookmarks yes, but which folder? On the other hand, why can't I unbookmark the page with the right click? It feels natural and logical to me. It even reacts to your right click yet does nothing.

5. Also some icons, paddings, aligning etc, little things that create fluidity and cohesion in the flow of the UI, need some work. They aren't harmonized across different sections of the UI and don't work together perfectly.

6. Some things are customizable, but not customizable enough. For example, I want the floating side panel to be modal and create invisible overlay so clicking outside would close it because I'm used to such behavior. Yet you can't achieve this and it's a shame.

What other browsers would you recommend that support workspaces, are customizable, and preferrably, are chromium-based?

I've tried it in the past and was pleasantly surprised with some of its features, including workspaces. Unfortunately the strong association with microsoft stains its otherwise solid performance.
