For context, I was raised Roman Catholic. I enjoyed going to church as a kid, but now I can’t help but look at it with disdain. It’s a fundamentally universalist creed, much like Islam; so long as you follow the church and do good works, you’re told, you will go to heaven. Despite what 18 year old tradcath Brazilians and Mexicans will tell you, this is nowhere near close enough to preserving western culture, because it completely ignores race as a factor in societal dealings.
Ignorance of race by Roman Catholics led to the mongrel hellhole that is modern Brazil, when a bunch of Spaniards managed to plap an entire race of brown genetic trash into existence. I look at the average favela like I look at a hot dog factory; a slurry of rejected parts that make a barely cohesive whole.
