I have one semester left of college and actually I am kind of looking forward to it. It's going to be a chill spring with cool classes now that all the hardest aspects are behind me. But I really don't want to continue education afterwards after weighing all the potential paths that would involve doing so.

Why even consider this, you might ask—why not start work right away? Well given my line of study (biochem), you can't really get a well-paying job without higher degrees. This is why college is a scam because in the modern day, college is only the beginning. It's not just "college degree => set for career" like they told us.

Honestly I am just burned out by the incessant academic effort applied in HS and college, and would be content just becoming a NEET. Society has given me no reason to be a productive citizen anyway, whether that's in the job market or in advanced education. I know my parents would not like this, but they have exerted too much control over my life as it is, and it would be good to teach them a lesson that I am not just some cattle that is going to keep chasing the hay dangled in front of it. I have no girlfriend, no friends, and they expect me to just think all this is normal. Well no more, not after the spring.

So I am curious to hear from some NEETs… how do you manage the finances? How do you sustain this lifestyle? Do you have at least a part-time job for a basic income? I have around 10k of my own money (need to double-check the exact figure, I am negligent with the online banking), so at least I would not be starting from nothing.

I'm currently (and I hope not for long) a deadbeat loser NEET who lives off his parents' money. Becoming a NEET is not advisable in most cases and most of us were forced into it. Considering that you managed to finish college and at the same time save $ 10k by working a job I assume, if you don't like this path you'll probably have no problem finding a low-skill part-time job to pay your bills and be financially independent as you focus on what you like in life.

You're probably right about that, and being dependent on my parents is the last thing I would want. I didn't work a job in college actually, but some scholarships/aid allowed me to save that money (I also had internships).

I hope I can strike a healthy balance by working some job that does not require advanced education. Because that's really what I want to avoid, I have become disillusioned with it and have had enough of studying.

The NEET lifestyle is just attractive because I can be lazy and that is what I honestly want after years of intense academic stress while being an incel.

When I was in college, the girl who was at the top of the class had other dreams, and became a farmer while still being in college. Now she milks cows and makes cheese. She had high IQ and was socially integrated, so both the higher education and her low-skill dream jobs were easily achievable paths for her. I have low IQ and I am a social outcast, so I failed in both. As an incel, you probably are a social outcast too, so it won't be as easy, but you can totally lead a good life without higher education, if that's your concern.

I'm not fully a NEET, but I work for only a handful of hours for minimum wage a few days a week. I leech off my parents for the most part and have enough income to sustain myself in terms of food, petrol and copes.

I believe this is probably the best I can live. I hate all forms of academic work, I hate waking up early, I hate forced social interaction, I hate having to go outside, etc. I hated going to high school and am near certain I would hate going to university and then having a full-time job. I vastly prefer being able to LDAR in my room nearly 24/7.

So if I were in your position, I'd get an easy job with minimal hours and just leech off your parents for accommodation and other necessities if possible.

Nothing at all worth mentioning. I've been primarily invisible. One time I asked for one's number indirectly and it led to nothing. That was actually so irrelevant I have to remind myself it happened.

JFL once I was sitting near two femoids and one said "Can you sit near him? I don't wanna sit near him". Brutal blackpill

Also whats even more brutal yk i was at the right side of the both. So basically she was near her friend, therefore she actually just hated being near me for no reason.

Relatable
again crazier shit that it wasn't because she wanted to sit near her friend, she actually just despised being near me

When I was in secondary being into me was a common insult used by foids to insult each others

Brutal. Once foid just started insulting me for no reason (back then i was just a normal teen with autism, i wasn't even misogynist). She basically started brutally insulting me in front everyone and nobody gave a shit

Fuck that bitch. She mogged me hard. She was the female version of the born-winner Chad. Was better than me in everything, topped every class without trying and could get any job or career easily. Witnessing that is what ultimately blackpilled me.
But honestly I wouldn't be so vexed about it hadn't she rejected me at the beginning.

Don't you will regret it

But if you had defended yourself they would have called you the bad guy

Clearly dude, she did that in front of adults. Nobody gave a fuck

It'll be difficult for you to get a starter position at a job nowadays so you'll be NEETing either way.

Same experience it was at the cafeteria during my middle school year and one of them were forced to sit next to me and femoid sitting next to me ask one of her friends “ can you take my spot? I’m uncomfortable”

Same here. She was around my level in looks objectively. Basically yk she had a bit acne not too severe but def not perfect skin even tho she likely had make up, her face looked kinda scary yk type of foid you see in news in article saying "Foid killed her husband". Actually tbh looked around ltb. Had a big ass but thats about it

Forgot to reply to this. I understand everything you're saying, but for me, my parents would not tolerate me leading that lifestyle unless I was actively doing something to better myself. It's always "onto the next" with them. They hardly care about the grades I get and will just go off about how I should plan for the future. Well to that I say, there is no future :feelsokman:

I wish I could go NEET too. Pretty sure my parents will force me to get a job eventually:feelsbadman:

I don't even know if I can handle my job interview. My social anxiety has reached the point where I can barely hold conversations with people.

WTF, this was the degree I was going to pursue? I always was intent on getting a good job as a doctor of some variety, but I thought that Biochem would be able to sustain me with a decent job for at least a little bit so that I could save up to go to Medical School or something. How much did you pay to get your degree, and what advice would you give for a degree then?

I can't share that online but in my opinion it was too expensive. It's primarily a knowledge-base degree with not much skillset. Any skills I have were primarily from internships or a lab positions, both things I had to seek out myself.

College has taught me how to be fake, but not necessarily interact well with people. I too deal with anxiety.

earn money: yes
pay taxes: avoid as much as possible unless you get pussy

NEETing will not do net-good for most of you
