I used to imagine myself as my favorite fictional characters to try and escape from how much of a loser I was

Took me a very long time to stop doing this all of the time, been doing it since I was a kid. Now I kind of have an evolved version of that where instead of imagining myself as other characters, I imagine alternative versions of myself.
