And have been for most of my life, games today can provide 100s of hours of immersive entertainment and help me to forget the shit avatar I inhabit here on earth. I could give a fuck about what goes on outside my window, world war three could be going on with nukes dropping and shit and I'll just be focused on my next trophy hunt for the psn.

Im a platinum hunter and a rather successful one at that with 55 plats to my account. It's the one area in life I feel i haven't failed and has given me a purpose outside my miserable life, I will forever be grateful to the advances in all things gaming related and certainly look forward to the ever more powerful games that will be created in my lifetime.

Real life is ass and only those with the right tools get ahead the rest are fucked. For a low income ethnic such as myself it was a no brainer why I prefer to live out fantasies of adventure and triumph through virtual worlds. If I could I'd download my brain into virtual reality, something I hope may be possible before I die. It's infinitely more preferable to my life in the real world.

Platinum trophies are achievements for games that can only be unlocked once you meet the requirements, which consists of obtaining the lower level trophies that are bronze, silver and gold. You can only get one platinum trophy per game and is the most prestigious achievement available for the game. It's only for the playstation network though, other platiforms don't use trophies and I'm looking forward to cyberpunk 2077, love the futuristic setting it's in.

A friend of mine got me started in hs and since then it's become a hobby to try and obtain them for the games I figure i can complete. In a way they have become replacment surrogates for achievements in real life and are something I or anyone else can look at that proves i accomplished something with my time.

The same way people look at their diplomas for example. It takes time dedication and some skill depending on the game you want to platinum and so it's a mixure of bragging rights as well as a form of self fufilment watching my efforts result in a successful trophy hunt.

Back before the introduction of trophies I was more of the traditional gamer during the late 90s up until the ps3 where platinums were introduced.

They are many options available if your on a budget. I've never hade money to blow on this hobby either, in fact I didn't get both the ps3 and ps4 until a couple years after its release and these days I only buy games that have good discounts and only buy a new game if it's an absolute must have. Which is rare since at this point the ps4 has many great cheap exclusives such as the uncharted series for example.

Even in gaming thiers a hierarchy, from noobs to pros and everything in between. But you don't have to be an expert to get lost in a good game.

As a teenager I played a lot of Bloodrayne and Lara Croft, and found them to be so superior to real-life foids in every way, in personality as well as looks.

This is a natural result of most video games being designed by men. Being men, they make the female characters behave logically, unlike real-life women.

Honestly its the business practices of the gaming industry that pisses me off more, micro transactions and dlcs are a plague that should have never been made apart of games. If I pay 60 bucks for a new game I expect the full fucking experiance, not most of it with the rest locked behind a paywall.

Sad thing is, when playing a game where I have an avatar, and if given a choice, I almost never choose to play as a male. Not due to most of the nonsense reasons that people claim, but only two. Mainly because I don't like being reminded of how ugly I am, but also because I just like to look at cute things.

It's funny, I can actually understand why many ugly feminists so loath the fact that females are nearly always(slightly less so now due to their influence at least in the west) depicted as very attractive in video games, it reminds them of their own undesirability by comparison. I wonder if they realize how amplified that is for men, how it's not "less attractive", but rather that attractiveness to females is simply not applicable for an ugly male? I doubt it.

We probably all feel like that on some level, it was for this reason that I couldn't accept my own appearance when I was a teenager. Seeing pictures of myself made me feel like crying, and sometimes I actually would. I also felt that because I'm ugly, I must be a "bad person". Essentially displaying how unattractive people are as lookist as anyone, even when the person that they're seeing is themselves.

I hate that shit too... I have 19 platinums and I actually suck at games, I lose interest too fast with most games, and I get overwhelmed during tutorials and learning new controls every game... Nowadays I am too offended to play a most games too because of microtransactions and locked content. It's the dirtiest scam of the millennium. It's very difficult for me to find a game I like.

Video Games are one of my greatest copes along fapping/hentai and anime. Since I'm a weeb, I play mostly Japanese games along indie games. The games I'm playing alot of right now are Terraria and Akiba's Trip Undead and Undressed. A Hat in Time, Megadimension Neptunia and Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet are some of the other games I'm going to be playing soon.

When I play my games I get pretty lost and emersed that I forget many of my problems. That's one of the reasons why I just want to be NEET so I can just get lost in my games and not worry about the unfair shitty real world. Video Games are fun, challenging, and FAIR. Real life is not these except unfairly challenging.

In any case I better fire up steam and start playing my games.
