No "survivor" has a tattoed number higher than a few hundred thousand;
Only Auschwitz used tattoos, and not every prisoner was tattooed. Six million refers to total Jewish deaths across all Nazi-controlled regions, not just Auschwitz.
Auschwitz had a hospital and no chimney;
Auschwitz was a massive complex with multiple subcamps. The hospitals were there for prisoners deemed fit for labor. The original ones were destroyed by the Nazis as they retreated, but photos, blueprints, and testimonies confirm their existence.
Most people in camps died of typhus;
Typhus did cause deaths in camps because of the shitty conditions the Nazis imposed. But that doesn’t negate the organized genocide.
The 6 million number is too big given the time frame and resources at the time, and conveniently written in their holy texts;
It’s not. Scholars have reconstructed the numbers from census data, Nazi records, and survivor testimonies. Thankfully the Allies had the foresight to document everything that they found, as they found it, rather than only going back to do so after the war was won.
In terms of just how such a thing is possible, it would be wrong to imagine the Nazis as gassing 100 people every hour of every day for years and years. In fact, much of their work was done through simple starvation, and working their captives to death. Many more would have been killed in mass exterminations on the Eastern Front, never having made it to a camp.
There's many examples of that, such as Babi Yar, where over 30,000 Ukrainian Jews were killed over a period of just two or three days in mass shootings where people were machine-gunned, thrown into ravines and buried.
There's also the Rumbula Massacre, where 25,000 Latvian Jews were killed in only a couple of days. And then the killings in Budapest towards the end of the war, where the Germans and Hungarians had so many people to exterminate that, in order to save bullets, they would tie several Jews together, shoot one, and then throw the whole lot into the Danube so that the dead one dragged the others down and they drowned.
And then there's Aktion Erntefest, where in a single day over forty-thousand Jews were murdered throughout the Nazi Concentration Camps located in Eastern Poland, in anticipation of a Russian offensive.
These are just a few notable examples of those mass killings that were often done by just a few men with guns. Looking at these examples, it's not hard to understand how the Nazis managed to average out to high figures and end up killing roughly six million.
The census before and after the war;
The Jewish population of Europe did drop dramatically, which matches the 6 million figure.
Many famous holocaust stories were faked;
Cherry-picking those doesn’t invalidate the far bigger number of consistent, corroborated evidence. That’s like saying the moon landing was fake because one photo looks odd. It’s weak logic.
The fact that even questioning the Holocaust generates a calamity, indicating that questioning it will lead to discovery of a lie.
You can question history responsibly, but denying genocide without evidence, and relying on conspiracy is misinformation. But I do agree that censorship is annoying and sensitivity around this topic is arguably too high.
