He was never married and lived with his mother (my great grandmother) in a dumpy old shack in the woods all his life until he died. They had no TV. My mom said he took one bath a week after he took his mother to church on Sunday mornings in the old pickup truck. On Sunday nights he went to church by himself and sat alone on the back row. Then he died of a heart attack while still living with his mom.
