It's still tricky for me to actually do it mostly due to some health issues I have that makes me think that a girl probably wouldn't be interested in me.

But... it's so weird. For years I didn't do it not because I couldn't or I particularly was worried about rejection but because I had been convinced by someone that it was weird. So I think that combined with some other things like some nerves, a viewpoint that this person was just a stranger and I don't know the first thing about them... and maybe other things, put me off.

But it seems to me now that:

a) it's normal for men to approach women

b) the nerves have reduced. I think it's because I've been watching old TV recently where the guys were a lot more forward

c) I think you can actually tell quite a lot about someone just by the way they dress, act, etc.

Unfortunately I still haven't been able to remedy the health concerns, but hey at least that's some kind of progress!
