2016 was the last year I interacted with people my age, but I want to go back further

I'll always love Filthy Frank, idubbbz, leafy, gradeaundera, etc. But outside the internet there was really nothing that special about the year to me personally.

That brief period of "edgy" creators' reign on YouTube from around the second half of 2015 until the first half of 2017 has to be the main thing Zoomers are nostalgic for. Besides that, maybe something like Overwatch at release. Personally I do feel some nostalgia for that time period, but if I ever go back to watch those old videos I think that they were simply good for their time. If they came out today at exactly the same quality I wouldn't have enjoyed them. I actually prefer the internet and the world now to the one back then, or earlier. Online communities are no more but I think the vastly better learning resources and tools we have today make up for that, the 2020s have been a hobbyist's dream so far.
