So for over a year Ive been trying to swap my truck-kun for either a 1st or 2nd gen CRV. Well it seems craigslist has become my saving graces because well some woman named Lisa is willing to do a trade. Yeah yeah say what you want about foids. But I can now re-own my favorite vehicle. All Ill have to deal with next is the paper work and then figuring out how to convert this bitch into a manual witch I know the 1st and 2nd gen CRVs came in a manual option. 3rd gens only did so in europe. Well news flash I dont live in Europe I live in WA state. But I am fucking exited. Itll be just as happy as the day I got aproval by ATF for my silencer back in 2022.

If any of you are car-cels tell me what would make great mods for the CRV. And please dot say either a lower kit or lift kit. I actually like it at its stock height as it provides best of both worlds in off roady and city saftey in driving.

Interestingly enough its also a 2001. Same year as my first CRV. This time I got a name for it. The aurora. Named after the train from metro exodus. Forgot the colore of the CRV. Looks more promising then the other guy willing to trade from Tenino with is a 2 hour drive from my swamp. Dead ass. Wish me luck fellow-cels.

Oh, so it's a Honda CR-V, right?

Why do Americans live automatics so much?
The Russians are just as brain dead, ngl.
In Russia, if you want to buy a manual, you have to order it and wait a couple of months because almost everyone buys an automatic.

Of course, if you drive a lot, an automatic can be nice, but I still prefer a manual.

But as for your CR-V, I am sorry. I can't help you there.

I might get me a Vitara soon. Actually my most desired car so far.
I wish I could get one with the old 1.6 litre engine, but they are hard to find and costly.

I guess I will have to settle for the newer 1.4 litre mild hybrid... .
Might get some other small SUV though.

should get a hellcat instead

I have some wheel time in an 06, i think its the last year of 2nd gen

the k24 is extremely durable, this one also had the 5 speed auto

well engineered and light for its era, 1500kg for a crossover is crazy

What is a shame is that most CRV owners on facebook market place with a manual dont wanna trade. They just want cash. So Im gonna have to do a manual convertion my self when or if I do the trade. But on the flip side I can probably rebuild the manual untils its almost new again. And that manula conversion will shine if I do the EV route and just conver it to EV. Fun fact in HVAC you learn about motors. So if you can use a gear box to reduce motor RPM wile going fast, itll preven somthing known as short winding. Also those extra gear ratios can be way more efficient on battery life.

2nd gen was the best gen CRV. The suspension is alot less scary then a 1st gen CRV as it used the more casual modern ish suspension over the fucking wishbone design. Technically my MDX is basicly a tanked up version of a 2nd gen CRV but on a modifyed van chasis. It literally is that actually the MDX was first built on a mkdifyed chasis of a Odesy I think. Then added a lift kit and called it a SUV.

CRV box refrigerator styling with lack of legroom.

Subarus are popular here with high resale value.
