I live deep rural and it was in a shed so i killed it and boiled it overnight on my wooodstove. It was winter.

It was a tan and white "field rat." We also have pack rats and Norway rats! I've killed a lot of them over the years....

I only ate the field rat because it was really big and clean and healthy looking. I had recently saw a documentary about rat hordes of Asia and how they dealt with it. So i figured I'd eat one.

I've eaten all kinds of weird varmint animals. I was working on a survival book once... But quit as it got unmanageable.
