I haven't made up my mind about it since ive only listened to a few Midwest Emo artists like I'm Glad Its You, but its interesting to see the emo genre go in a experimental direction when it comes to its sound and guitar playing , but like all things it gets reduced down to a "tiktok -core". Me personally I lean more towards hardcore and fast and rough sounds of the emo genre
