I liked the walking dead and really enjoyed it, but there’s something annoying about it that I can’t explain

Why does almost every character feel so annoying to me besides a few exceptions?

do you mean the tv show or the comics or the telltale games

They killed the good characters and put faggots in there to replace them.

The original was good for the first four or five seasons. I'd say it peaked around the Negan story arc. Then it just became a constipated shit you just want to squeeze out and get it over with.

that's exactly what happened to Dexter after season six. in my opinion season five and six were still pretty good, although they obviously couldn't top season four. season seven was mediocre for the most part but it kind of grew on me in the end. and then season eight was just a fucking chore to watch. I'm actually surprised I was able to get through it without fastforwarding.

After Shane died it just fucking sucked man. He was based + comedic relief at the same time and the show became too serious and oddly quiet after his death.

Never got into Dexter, but I guess that's the fate of all shows. They start off strong, reach a peak, then it's all downhill from there until the show's end, with maybe a strong finish.

I don't get why they make a hundred seasons of everything. I think five is enough, especially if the episodes are fifty minutes to an hour long.

That's a good number. The thing is that many of these shows are written on a season by season basis. They don't write out the entire arc of the show from the beginning, because they have to first pitch the show, get it accepted for one season, see how it performs in the ratings, and then hope it gets renewed by the host for subsequent seasons.

well yeah I DO know why they do it :feelshaha: , but still. I just wish filmmakers cared about making a unique film and telling a worthwhile story rather than making ten fucking movies and ten spinoff shows or whatever the fuck. the best examples of the pure SLOP I'm talking about would be Marvle and star wars.

the new shows are fucking awesome but most leaders of groups are foids, that's the one thing about it that sucks

have you watched TOWL, daryl show and dead city?

People, even in big businesses, tend to be risk-averse. When there's a lot of money at stake people prefer a sure-thing (formulaic goyslop), instead of a gamble on something new and potentially interesting.

No. I watched FTWD for a few seasons, but it's more of the same shit.
i recommend you watch the spin off/sequel shows i listed. i agree with you that the first 5 seasons of TWD were great and the ones after that all sucked, but the ones i mentioned are epic.

I have my doubts on that, but maybe I'll watch it once it concludes.
i watched the walking dead years ago and stopped at around season 9 because i had no idea who any of the new characters were or what was going on because i simply was just too bored to pay attention. i binge watched all of it a few weeks ago just so i could watch the spin off shows and it was a great decision. i'd say just watch the first episode of any one of the spin offs and then you'll know if you like it or not, because i was hooked on with just the first episodes.

Are they different stories that take place in the same time period or is it scattered all over the place?

All three of them are independent from each other. TOWL is about rick and michonne, dead city is about maggie and negan, and daryl show is obv about daryl (and also carol). It is obvious that they want to milk the show as long as they can before they have to make all of the main characters reunite so they can get all the old viewers back, but I wouldn't say that's a bad thing. All three of the storylines are enjoyable and executed very well, and the new characters aren't too bad at all. In fact, one thing I would hope was different was that TOWL was spread over 2 seasons instead of 1, because it was so good but had to be condensed into 1 season, so it felt a little rushed.

Another thing I don't like is that most of the leaders of new groups are foids. Many of them are insufferable. But despite that the shows are still enjoyable.

The problem with TWD is that I don't get to suck Andrea's toes.

You should watch lost next
