I was up early one Sunday so I fetched the newspaper from the mailbox.

There was a small pamphlet in the newspaper we subscribed for.
The pamphlet was aimed at 14-17 year olds, and it was about sex and sexuality. I looked through it, then put it back, thinking I'll look at it later. I think I had to go eat breakfast, not exactly sure.

Hours or so later I saw my mother discover the booklet, take it, get up from the sofa, and immediately went to bury it under a big stack of paper (which is later recycled). She didn't see me.

I still don't understand why she did it and should have confronted her about it so she could have told me directly that it's over.

IMPORTANT: MY MOTHER WAS NEVER RELIGIOUS, AND SHE WAS ALWAYS PRO-RELATIONSHIP AND SHE WAS NEVER PRUDISH.

For me it was when the older theater faggots (we have a pretty big theater school in my inbred smalltown where people travel far to come) had a schoolplay about being young and in love, at the end of it they handed out condom to everyone, mine expired after some years and I threw it away.

Interesting. During sex-ed in grade 12 they handed out condoms and a guy asked if he can have mine/if I need it.

But what do you think happened in my case, why did she throw away the pamphlet, as if she didn't want me to see it? And again, she was never prudish, religious or any shit like that. It was personal.

Brutal. But this was a pamphlet they just added (for free) to every Sunday newspaper and it was aimed at teens - I was one 10 years ago.

She probably just saw it as usual garbage you sometimes get in the mail, not sure it has anything to do with you specifically. It would have been stranger if she just came up to you with it and said "hey, read this son" jfl.
