I honestly prefer following guides for video games

Just feels like I'm wasting my time if I don't. The older you get the more you value your free time. This is why I usually prefer second & third playthoughs since I have everything memorized & can fly through games. I usually only play video games for 90 minutes max per day.

In some games it makes sense using a guide for example to solve a random puzzle in a non-puzzle game

if the game has long learning curve that I couldn't learn through virtue of playing I simply don't play the game, I don't have the attention span to learn.

Elden Ring is so boring without a guide, you get lost, can't find keys to unlock certain areas/bosses and you can't skip the filler/copy pasted bosses/zones
