Brutal I have to swallow

I have an underbite and have had braces for several months now. A couple of days back, my orthodontist finally apply braces to my lower teeth

Now, i can't bite down because my lower teeth will make contact with my upper braces

I can't chew anything now, i have to swallow porridge and other fine soft foods

My ortho saids, it's going to take several months for my bite to be corrected, brutal
