I'm worried to the point of certainty that @FrailPaleStaleMale is dead. I preach a lot about recovery, but he was one of the few inkwells, if not the only inkwell, I was positive I couldn't save. He had chemical dependencies that you can't just "therapy" away. It was the substance that killed him.
I never liked drugs, but basically watching Frail lose his mind and die is something like the last straw. Also? Lost in the Presidential election news, you might not have heard that South Dakota legalized weed. That's big news when you consider that South Dakota is one of the reddest states in the Union. Republican governor, Republican legislature, it's got Mount Rushmore, and if South Dakota says it's okay, how can any state say no at this point? It seems inevitable now. Every four years a new chunk of the country will allow it. Republicans for all their socially conservative bluster are against everything but drugs at this point. Except Tomi Lahren, I guess. She doesn't like drugs. But loves abortion.
I don't know how much I can rely on Republicans to uphold the standard that drugs are bad. You can bitch about how "liberal hellholes" like California are ridden with drugs, but once they're legal you can't make them illegal again. The only hope is to stop the advance now. And the only group that's doing that is the Prohibition Party. Essentially a joke of a party.

Did you know the 2012 Prohibitionist National Convention was held at a Holiday Inn Express in Cullman, Alabama? Not even a regular full Holiday Inn. A Holiday Inn Express.
Our candidate for President this year was a guy named Phil Collins.
I think we've all accepted that a Prohibition Party vote is a protest vote in the purest sense. The Prohibition Party was the original third party. It's not about winning any election or achieving any... thing, it's about shouting loud enough for people to notice "Hey there's people who still don't like drugs."
