This exemplifies the blackpill, the scene simply doesnt work, because he is too low status for the audience to believe him, that he had a relationship, that someone would be romantically entagled withhim.

It becomes a comedy without him being aware of it, the longer he does the scene the more comedic and implausible it becomes to the audience.
