Its honestly not much better than the 1st Switch which wasn't great to begin with. I didn't like the last switch, games looked like shit on that system and run like ass. This system is not much better, visually the games are a lot cleaner but the screen is not mind blowing as some dickheads online would have you believe.
Console
It feels like holding a fuckin tea tray in your hands its that big, you can get use to it but its a very hefty piece of hardware, not something you can carry in your pocket. Gives you hand cramp as well after about half an hour of holding it which most people don't tell you about. Controls feel fine, its just the size of the bastard, I prefer portable consoles to be more portable tbh.
Pro 2 Controller
Feels weird to hold tbh, it feels small in your hands after using the dualsense on PS5 and I have small hands. The buttons are all close together, it just doesn't feel as natural for me after using the Dualsense. Its better than the switch 2 grip and its a nice contoller but I expected something a bit heftier like the Dualsense which set the standard.
Mario Cucked World
Fun game but lacklustre in many ways, the open world is bare bones and there's no progression system online, so your literally just racing for fun online with no ranked leaderboard or nothing. Knockout mode is the best mode, really frantic mode that's intense as you have to score top 8 to qualify. Single player modes like grand prix, and free roam are where you unlock characters or vehicles. Its a fun game but its missing a lot of content tbh. This is why I got it bundled with the console because its not worth £70+ and I don't mind a racing game digital for pick up and play.
Zelda BOTW
Same old boring arse Zelda, not saying its a bad game but its an absolute slog to get through. It doesn't look much better than the switch 1 version, marginally but not mind blowing like youtubers would have you believe. The screen just isn't that impressive in person, its an LCD screen so its more washed out than OLED and this game for some fuckin reason has a horrible yellow tint which people seem to love.
Mario Wonder
This is the other game I bought so I'll just throw it in there, its a fun Mario game, not mind blowing just another Mario game that does its job. Level designs are great and enjoyable to play. Been getting all the wonder seeds and big coins in each level, its the least I can do because for some fuckin reason Nintendo refuses to include any sort of trophy system. I ain't speed running shit without an incentive, however arbitrary that incentive that may seem. I just wish Nintendo had more of a variety in general, most of their games are what a child would play, not that they're bad games but I like mature games, Nintendo doesn't have that balance.
