ok so said problem is "write an equation in slope intercept form for the line that passes through the given point and is perpendicular to the graph of the given equation" said equation is 5,-12;y=1/3+4



I have no idea what this gay ass teacher is even talking about and we never went about problems like this in class

If it's perpendicular, then the product of both slopes is -1.

Therefore the slope is -3.

y + 12 = -3(x - 5).

y = -3x + 3
