Some of my childhood was happy, but the parts I remember the most are the parts where I had a shit time.
I used to get bullied by other children because of how I spoke.
I did nothing because I was scared.

They were older than me and I felt I couldn't do anything.
I felt so alone.

I let them walk over me.
It was a horrendous experience.
And, it was one of the rare good women who defended me.

Those bullies ruined me for years afterwards.
I wish I was stronger back then.
