The concept of having a face is distasteful to me. Your face is who others know you as, more than your words, more than your actions, more than your creations. Humans have evolved to read faces almost instantly. Your face says a lot about who you are. I hate being able to be read, to be judged, to be associated with something that I never chose, that I have basically no control over. For my consciousness to be associated with and objectified by a mere face is disgusting. People see my face, not my thoughts, and that's an injustice.

An ugly face*

Cover your face in makeup.

Beautifully written, I hate my subhuman face no matter what I do I will always be demonized by this fucked up society. :feelsbadman:

I am neurodivergent.

Faces may just be the single thing that defines humanity; everyone has one, and everyone has a unique one. It's what individuates us, and it's the very thing the ego latches onto. No other species varies as much, individual to individual, as humans.

I wish it was legal to wear a face mask out in public everywhere, and socially acceptable. Would be a nice change of pace.
I did not know there were specific laws against it, but you might get some weird reactions from people.

You are your face.

If you don't have face. You don't exist.

While I understand you're saying that you are your genetics, which is true. We're not our faces. We're our conscious experience (which is also shaped by genetics). If there were no mirrors or reflections in existence, how would we even know we have faces? We could infer that it's the case based on the appearance of others, sure, but we'd never know what we'd look like. My point is that we're our conscious experience; we only learn of our face from the perspective of others.

Truecel trait: you like wearing masks

Truecel thinking pattern. At a certain point you become disillusioned with all of the visual world, it's all so vapid and shallow. I'm not a muslimcel myself but the idea that Allah is not allowed to be depicted always resonated with me because of this. Likewise I like to think that a painting can often tell a truer picture of what someone or something is than a photograph, if you have to describe something with visuals. But a painting or artwork doesn't work most of the time either, because the visual world is too tainted in my opinion.

Still, there is an additional caveat to this. The way I see it nobody can understand each others thoughts either, even if everyone really wanted to (which of course they don't, people show time and time again that all they care about is themselves), because communication and the capacity humans have to understand each other is simply too limited. All you can ever do is build up an increasingly elaborate idea of what someone is like in your head, you will never get to truly understand that other person (honne and tatemae ideas are similar). In other words, we are all alone in the universe and loneliness is nothing short of absolute. The only thing which could bridge the gap would be something like Brain Computer Interfaces. The problem with that is that it is highly unlikely that humans would get along even if they understood each other, contrary to what some people believe. Even if everyone did all get along after finally understanding each other, life would still not feel complete, because there are more things to learn about the universe. It would be nice to do without all the pain and lack of pleasure we have in our lives though.

I dream of a place where wearing masks is the norm. Would be incredible- as you said we are judged so harshly by our faces so here, we will never succeed.

A soft example of this is the Islamic world. Foids are forced to cover up, and that completely changes the social dynamic and the way people perceive and treat one another. In a world where everyone wore masks, people would be judged solely on their choices and character instead of their good looks.
