So as a kid, my dad would wake me up around midnight to pick up my mum from her job at the hospital. In the car, we would put on the radio and at this time, the station would always have a show called 'Club Classics'. When the corona virus broke out, I thought of the song Rhytm of the Night, which everyone knows. The ironic thing...that was by an Italian group called...wait for it...CORONA!! Even when playing GTA, this song is on the Nonstop Pop station, which takes me back to my childhood when I'm in GTA either just chilling driving around or running people over/causing havoc in anyway possible, as everyone does in the game.
So, of course, all sorts of things start going through my head, about how the title should be called something like "Virus of the Night/Virus of our Lives" or something. Naturally, I wrote some lyrics...here are a load of songs that I would hear almost daily as a kid (it seems 'Club Classics' meant = play the same 20x songs, everyday, for like the 6 or 7 years I would be in the car as we picked up my mum from work)
Anyway, I am curious what songs/lyrics are appropriate for this outbreak...
This virus takes their lives
Their lives, oh yeah
x3
They say that there's no-more-beds
People keep on drop-ping dead
Please now infect them all
We all know it's your call
Oh please don't ease their pain
Spread through the air again
More and more we pray, there's more dead every day
This virus takes their lives
Their lives, oh yeah
x3
You always make them sick, now they feel so bad
You rid them to their bed, it's almost like they're dead
They can't see you in the air, but they all know that you are there
Everyone at home, while you take their lives
Your spread it feels so baaa-ddd
And that's what makes them di-iee
More than you've killed be-forrre
Now they won't even let them fly
Thought I should let you know
That you're spread means so much
(When they're sick in bed)
It's you I'm always thinking of, oh corona!
In quarantine, can't walk down your street again
No one at your door, even some dead on-the-floor
It's months since you've been out
Getting suicidial in your house
I'm by the phone, but no call, are you even home?
Did it kill you?
Did you die, like the rest?
Did it kill you?
Did you die, like the rest?
Could you be dead?
I saw you drinking on Spring Break
Was it a sign, or was it your deadly fate?
I wonder about your house, are you in or about?
Please tell me, if you're not in the cemetrary
Did it kill you?
Did you die, like the rest?
Did it kill you?
Did you die, like the rest?
Co-ro-na!
Please don't kill me
don't kill me
please don't
Co-ro-na, please don't kill me
don't kill me
Co-ro-na
please don't
Just look now, the whole world closed
We were naive, we should have known
Tell me, who will live and who will die
Gimme a sign
chorus x2
Doctors and nurses don't know what to do
Hospitals with no beds, already full
Masks already out, no help about
They can't go on
Co-ro-na!
Please don't kill me
don't kill me
please don't
Co-ro-na, please don't kill me
don't kill me
Co-ro-na
please don't
No matter how many die
You keep on taking lives
And we can't stop you
There's nothing we can do
I hope you never leave us
I would never believe it
But after all are dead and gone
You're gonna be the only one
Will they have life after this?
They can feel something inside their lungs
I really don't think they're strong enough
x2
What are they supposed to do?
Stay home, away from you?
But they can't do that
There have no time for that
They think they're the holy ones
They think they're so strong
But they don't know you, like I do
They think they're too good for you
Will they have life after this?
They can feel something inside their lungs
I really don't think they're strong enough
x2

Corona you're all that I want
When you're deep inside their lungs
They're finding it hard to breathe
We're in heaven
Oh, look at all these normie tears
Now you're here, it's not just me
You spread wide and fast, for all to see
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3CxhBIrBho
All I ever wanted
Was to stop chads smiling
I know that I love you
Corona why don't you see
...
...
They're so alone
Stuck on their own
Hoping that you don't come
Just wash their hands, they'll be fine
But I know just to give you time
And every day
More are dead
Normies hope you don't get in their bed
You are the one
Get in their eyes
You're the best thing in my life

You're the troubler maker, fear instigator
They're the angst addicted, this dumb gen illustrated
You're a virus spreader, hero virus spreaer
You're the virus spreader, holy virus spreader x2
You're the disease they hated, death infected, yeah
You're the pain they tasted, then mass eradicated
chorus
For them, it's self-inflicted, chads and their bitches
They'll be infected, no more glitches

There were also plenty of other songs on the "similar videos" recommended list that are appropriate - e.g. "Better off Alone" for the normie isolation..."Insomnia" has lyrics that can easily be adapted, "Everytime we Touch" & "Castles in the Sky" can be changed to things like "Everyone you Touch" or "Virus in the Sky" etc...
