I'm 27. My parents always knew I'm straight (got caught watching lesbian porn, looking at girls on instagram, and when I was 13 I wrote a letter to my mother that I really like this ice-skater girl (who was older than me) I always saw on the ice rink close to us (kek) and mother wrote me back and said thanks for your trust and bought me a laminated picture of her skating. I was actually in love. And back then I was decent looking, I really coped and thought I can have her. (Then over the next years my face got deformed)

But, a few years later when it would have been appropriate they NEVER made any comment or asked any question or even implied something like "your future gf..." or anything hinting that they think I can get a gf. On the contrary. Their silence often implied I can't get a gf. And my dad once more or less straight out told me I should forget it. I was about 19.

Anyway. Why is/was that? Because I'm very strange looking and also have always never been the social type. I was always very weird. Mother for the past 3 or so years has always tried to talk me OUT OF WANTING A GF.
I strongly assume her thinking was "if he can't have it anyway, it's better that he not want it. So I list him all the negative impacts a gf can bring."
