Serious I found someone online who owns property where I’d be allowed to work in exchange for food, shelter and from there find a job. Is this safe?

Since I can’t find any jobs where I live at in my parents’ house, and since I have traumatic memories from just being here, I started searching online if I could go anywhere.

I found a 40 year old man online who he would allow me to stay on his property as long as I work and help with chores. And that from the I could find a job.

Is this a reasonable or safe strategy?
Either way, I’m done with life with no real desire to live.
