I find a copy of "Whatever" by Michel Houellebecq (the original, in french) at the local library.

I heard someone here say the book is better than the movie.
(i think it was @LeFrenchCel but I'm not sure)

I'll read it throughout the next week because I'm a bit busy right now.
Maybe I'll make another thread when I'll be done to compare with the movie and to give my opinion, if anyone is interested in that.
(If I'm not to lazy to do it)

J'ai lu ce bouquin à 16 ans en fait, pas 18 ahi, le temps passe vite

J'étais brisé vu que ça décrivait absolument ma vie de merde et le futur horrible qui m'attendait

i read in english too sometimes so maybe i'll read an english version after the original, to compare.

Both. French version was better. The more precise French vocab used sounds kind of weird when translated into English.

Jamais lu en papier mais j'ai écouté une version audiobook sur youtube

La fin du film est un peu plus romancée que la fin du livre si mes souvenirs sont bons mais dans l'ensemble le film est assez fidèle au bouquin
