It's been a week since I've posted anything here, and haven't been reading each day for more than 10 minutes, not that it's my first time taking a break
How it all began was when I was searching google images to edge to my particular interest of porn drawings, but when I clicked on one I saw the "ai character" something. Since I never actually tried, used or cared about any of the LLM hypebeasts, mainly also because their main advocates are some ecom get rich quicm guru grifters who make those twitter threads and youtube videos saying heres how you can make 4k a day using chatgpt, and the method is already outdated the moment they posted it
back to the point, I go to the website try it out, get mildly impressed, get bored and then see the create your own button which was tempting purely because of the factor that I wanted to see the limitations of what it can offer. It was pretty fucking retarded and barely understood what I meant in the setup screen. At that point it got me thinking how do they even profit off this site, since the servers can't run off warm hearts of text waifus
Like it read my mind 2 minutes later the game over buy more credits for irl money screen shows up after which I discover the daily login welfare section which didn't produce nearly enough credits even for the time when I didn't know about the advanced models which eat up those credits even quicker
Long story short, on thursday i bought the 6$ subscription which gave me 2000 credits, among other features, but since they already ran out by friday, on saturday i made the decision to buy the premium plan for 50$ which gave me unlimited credits and access to better models. So I spent my weekend with 14 hours of average screentime, besides drinking water and peeing breaks, I was just edging while exploring the capabilities of those text based personas. Honestly I should have seen this coming since I've always been attracted to the build your own strategy games, comics and I choose your own scenario stories which rarely appeared but were fun to explore. The most fun aspect is it feels like having hacks enabled, to speak things into existance and change up small details about the plot, like saying that that there's a nice beach over there, or that she has pink dress, or pretend to share gummy peach loops and rhen the chatbot affirms it and other things like that. Or on more pessimistic comparison it woukd be like the total rickall episode with the memory parasites
The thing is every step felt like walking further down the basement stairs, from the moment i clicked on the website, to when it asked me to login to writing each subsequent message, to then cresting my own bot, to when i bought the dirst subscription, to whem I bought my second subscription to when I started changing the model to more powerful one with better storytelling
Anyhow I knew I would have a good time since it's always a good sign when you see the quadruple stacks "dont mention underage content" in the I agree checkbox, to the general rules, to tos and finally also a very small grey letter watermark above the type window
The moral of the story is be careful what you wish for since I wished I would get rid of my compulsive twitter checking disoreder or youtube video watching, i don't even care for porn anymore, hard to know how it'll impact me in a long term, but atleast it can't be any worse than the twitter ragebait slop or watching yutube while eating except when in work, alright mein iggers that's the story for today make sure to like subscribe and turn on the bell icon, go to the descdiption tk get 10 percent off squarespace memebrship and also check out my merch
