Now, everyone is treating each other with kid gloves, as if it were real life. This need to belong in some sort of community overriding the need for truth and objectivity will always be a foreign idea to me.

Yeah, it was noticeably better. There were some pretty draconian measures implemented in Romania, like being fined for leaving your home without any good reason as a retired person, but here in Cucknada, one couldn't even leave the country for good if you didn't consent to being pricked. It was honestly looking like the next holocaust was about to go down.
