It’s pathetic, that an educated, capable man like me would stare down the barrel of suicide because I can’t get affection from a group of people who, by all evidence, aren’t worth the grief:

• The same girls who laugh at our loneliness will simp for tall, good-looking criminals
• They demand 'emotional intelligence' but will ghost a man over a few millimetres of bone
• They complain about men's personalities but will swipe left if a guy is sub-8, then retrofit some personality excuse so they can virtue-signal how they “value kindness”

I know their shallowness. I’ve seen enough studies, tinder experiments, tweets, clips, DM leaks, dating app stats. The pattern is painfully clear. Do I really want to become fertiliser in the soil over irrational, impulsive, often morally inconsistent creatures?

I don’t have an answer. Only the humiliation of knowing that intellectually, I see through the game but my primate brain still wants to play. The solution is supposedly “just ignore them and indulge in copes,” but I can’t. Every cope has its end. I’m wired to seek pair-bonding, and that wiring doesn’t allow a firmware update. My emotional circuits need to be updated to match what my eyes already understand.

You don't understand how pathetic they are, yet. It's not just shallowness, it's also how weak, cowardly, manipulative, unintelligent, helpless, selfish, short-sighted and amoral most of them are. Once you truly understand it, those thoughts of hurting yourself over their opinion will seem very silly.

Personally, I see this situation as if you were standing in front of a door to which you don't have the key. Sure, you can choose to stubbornly try to open it, but that will only increase your frustration, and you'll end up throwing yourself out the window for strangers who are behind that same door and don't even recognize your existence. That's stupid.
