Northerners are significantly shorter because they're basically Hungarian.

I'm not "short", but I'm definitely below average for my area (one of the pink areas on the map.) I'm 181cm or 5'11.25", easily 4-5cm below average, especially compared to 20-25 year olds. I see dozens if not hundreds of 6'3"+ people every day. 6'6"+ people are fairly common. Almost everyone my age seems to be 6'0-6'3".

It's like being 5'7" in the US, definitely manlet status.

I don't even remember the last time I've seen a 5'8" local guy, let alone <5'7".
It's weird for me hearing everyone, especially Americans/Canadians/ethnics talk about being 5'3", 5'5" or how 5'6"-5'8" is a very common height.
5'8" and under is turbomanlet tier in my area. 5'5" is circus freak, 5'3" is legal midget status.

Here's an interesting article/research about height in the Dinaric Alps, specifically Croatia. It talks about methods used to gather data (1800+ 17-20yr old males, regions etc.)
