Every-time I see autistic people online, they seem to be extremely mentally retarded, and I don't act like they do, and it makes me think that I don't have autism, and that I was misdiagnosed. I was diagnosed around age 30.

  • Average score for Diagnosed ASD Males : 146
  • Average score for SUSPECTED ASD Males :140
  • Average score for Neurotypical Males : 82
  • My score is 190+

I took this test 2 years ago, and my score has actually increased since then. 2 years ago it was about 185, so I've some how become more autistic in the last few years. How the fuck do I score so highly, when I don't act like a mentally retarded person? The fuck.

Can you please take the test and post your results?

Here is the test

But look at these autistic people. I dont act like this at all. I generally mirror how others behave, but its really draining for me to do that. If I go outside and interact with 20 different people, I will be 20 different people. All those 20 people I see, will have a completely different version of me. When I am high inhib, I am mirroring and copying the other person, when I am low inhib, I am shitting all over people, but I am not mentally retarded in this way, how they act.

Yeah the media always displays the very low functioning autists,so when people hear this word they assume you are like this.I guess we fall into the high functioning autist category, like the ones with aspergers.Or it could also be that the doctors are just labeling every awkward person as autistic nowadays

Aspie is not the same as low functioning turbo autist.

I have seen people who are labelled as "Aspergers" have the same mentally retarded mannerism/body-language/speech as people labelled as Autistic.

Aspergers is NOT real.

Autism is just mental retardation with a more "PC" name. Before Autism and before Mental Retardation it used to be called Cretinism.

High IQ and awkward does not mean Autist, it just means High IQ and awkward.

Liking anime and My Little Pony but being average IQ is also not Autism, it is immaturity (and possibly MILD retardation/cretinism.)

Relatable

I thought it was normal, but then I realized that it's "normal" to have some variance in your solo mask, family mask, friends mask, and work mask, so 5 different "masks", but even then, most normies only have these 5, and even then, their "masks" are relatively similar.

I have 7 billion different masks.

I have at some points thought I may had autism, but I have been friends with several people who had it (high-functioning/Asperger's) and their behavior and world-view simply did not reflect mine. The main difference would be their lack of self-awareness, even these supposedly high-functioning ones would sometimes just randomly scream something because they thought it was funny and they had no idea that saying certain things was inappropriate. Meanwhile, I'm very self-conscious about how I come off to normans and when I was younger I did my best to imitate their speech patterns and behavior to come off as 'normal'. That's simply not something that autists do, they need professional guidance to understand what is normal and what is wrong to say in certain situations.
Another thing I noticed that these autists were all very extroverted, they could babble on and on and could easily strike conversation with people they barely knew. I am, on the other hand, very shy and avoid social interaction as much as possible.

So yeah, don't believe that you have autism just because your behavior coincides with some of the symptoms. Actual autists are not just socially awkward or something, you can clearly tell from their behavior that there is something wrong with them. If you have ever been anxious around people and thought about if you might stand out, you probably don't have it.

Yeah exactly. I'm a different person to everyone I meet, and sometimes it's very often wildly different. It's uncomfortable, because I feel as though I have no true identity.

Can you explain why I score 190+ on this ASD test when the NTs average score 80? :waitwhat:

Interesting how our total score is almost identical.

Do you act like a mentally retarded person like in those 2 videos I linked? Or are you with the same thoughts as me, wondering if you actually have autism despite being diagnosed in real life, and scoring high on tests like this.

No, you don't have to act like this to have an Autism Spectrum Disorder, that's why it is called spectrum.

Then again normies gonna normie and we are definetely, visibly different to them.

Seriously though, it just means you're an ugly neurotypical.

Being diagnosed as autistic as an adult is a death sentence

and possibly MILD retardation/cretinism
aka aspergers

I'm the exact same way. I'm never the same person when interacting with people. I'm a completely different person with my mom, dad, sister and in the past when I had a few friends and acquaintances I was never consistently "me." I guess when I'm alone in my room I'm "me", but as soon as I leave my room I change completely.
When I'm with more than one person at once, I tend to become very quiet because I can't be all those versions of me at once. I don't want to expose myself as a fraud or a phony so I just stay quiet.

Often after watching a good movie or tv show I copy the mannerisms and behavior of a character I like and this usually lasts for a week or so, sometimes much longer. I'm pretty sure this is some aspie shit.

:worryfeels: I do this
i have social anxiety, as a kid probably 1 of the worst cases

Then it cant just be "anxiety" that scores us high with ASD, you have anxiety but score NT.

110.
weird test.

I even picked answers that would make me more "normal", especially the ones about being able to relate and sympathize. The questions are a bit confusing imo and many of the questions revolve around having friends, but I don't have friends and I don't really remember everything from 10 years ago when I had them.

I can sympathize with homeless men, non-NT men or unattractive males getting bullies, but that's about it. I don't care at all about brown people dying in some Stan country or even when there's an accident in Europe, America or East Asia and many people die.
I just don't care.
Technically, I can "sympathize" with others, but only when their problems are similar to mine. I don't care in the slightest about normalfag related woes like break ups, dead wife/husband/gf/bf, rape or even parents with dead children.

I also don't see "normie" problems as true problems so I can't sympathize with them. Even when it's my parents or sister who have normie problems. I think I would have scored higher if I was truly honest in the test, but again the questions are too vague.

Lol this is bullshit, I only scored 124 and I'm the closest thing to a vegetable I know. Since I'm diagnosed I should have scored way higher. This is just a scam.

It’s diagnostic tool used by professionals, not some random meme test made by some random guy

One think I've noticed I have as an autist which is different from normal people is that my mind works kind of like a "railroad" or a pair of binoculars.

For example if I am having a conversation with another person, I am unable to do more than one thing at once. This is why I can't make eye contact with people, because looking at a person's face counts as doing a thing, namely I am examining their face. I've actually tried doing this, where I spend the conversation making eye contact, and what ends up happening is that I spend the whole time taking in the information from their facial features and expressions, and I completely ignore what they are saying, involuntarily. My brain automatically filters all the background noise out.

Conversely, if I am making eye contact, and I stop focusing on making eye contact so that I can pay attention to their words and think about the conversation, my brain subconsciously makes me look away from their face in order to limit the distracting information coming in.

Will be seeing a "pro" for diagnosis.

Autism trait: not feeling autistic

I've been reading "a field guide to earthlings" and I feel a bit autistic! Yet according to the book I should be NT!

I blame the mercury teeth and vaccines! Damned jew shit!

Im pretty autistic as well

I hope this test isn't too accurate.

It's over-diagnosed. Not everyone prioritize this social mindset. Some have suffered from social isolation during an integral part of their life. Because of this, it's now considered a "spectrum," to include more and more ppl.

Btw, that guy is a psychopath. Normies love him though.

Yeah it seems a lot of autism symptoms can easily cross over with general social isolation symptoms. It's a big problem with psychology in general, as a subject it's not particularly scientifically rigorous like medicine and other sciences, a lot of it is just left up to the interpretation of the psychologist. Not socialising well with people could be autism or a dozen other possibilities. I think it's probably a bit worse in the US though where therapists and such make a lot of money out of autistic kids.

No autism bucks for me I suppose though

This is like what came first, the chicken or the egg?

I would say my isolation has been caused by autism, even in kindergarten my mom said that I refused to play with other kids, and anytime the kindergarten staff would try to get me to play with other kids that Id refuse to do it, and that I'd always want to do my own thing, didn't want to interact with other kids.

I recently watched an old VHS tape of a birthday I had when I was 5 years old, and you can see me constantly going upto my mom and pulling on her dress and asking her over and over "when is everyone going to leave", repeating myself 5-10 times each time. All the little autistic issues I have aren't something that just popped up after years of being normal, they were always there, and they're the reason why I was ostracized/alienated in school.

But I do know, if I was taller (above 6ft+) and had a better looking face, that I'd have been socially accepted despite the autism, its just that how I look (height especially) acted as a negative-social-multiplier. So I don't blame everything 100% on autism, I'd say its a mixture of autism and looks/height. If I was taller and looked a certain way, that my social retardedness wouldn't have been anywhere near of an issue, instead of being a weird loser manlet, I'd have been an eccentric tall chad, etc.
