There isn't much point in running the rat race if you either don't want or can't get a family. I personally don't find pleasure in expensive products like luxury cars or high-end fashion. Since I can't get a gf, and vidya and books are cheap, there isn't much point in wageslaving away.
The only real issue for my is healthcare here in Burgerland, that might force me to wageslave if I don't rope eventually
