I dislike Super Mario World

I was extremely excited to play it during my teens because I heard it was the best 2d Mario. After completing it and finishing Star World, I have barely ever felt a desire to replay it. Super Mario World is an incredibly boring game.
This is because

1. It's far less creative than Super Mario Bros 3 in terms of level gimmicks. The level themes also tend to blend together.
2. The game is too easy. This was the first major example of Nintendo significantly streamlining a game. Super Mario World was designed in a manner where finishing the main game is fairly easy to at most moderate in challenge. There's no walls to overcome. I'd argue the game is even easier than later entries like New Super Mario Bros Wii. The main challenge of the game is Star World which focuses on unfun gimmicks vs actual platforming.
3. Visually the game is unremarkable and even ugly. Especially compared to Super Mario Bros 3.

Overall, I'd say that Super Mario World is a 5/10. There's really no reason to play it outside of historical importance. Super Mario Bros 3 is a better platformer, and Yoshi's island builds upon and completely overshadows Mario World in terms of level design.

I'm with you. Super Mario Sunshine is probably one of my favorite Mario games. I wish we would've seen another Mario game like it or 64.

I think it stems from World being easier and nostalgia for the snes. Also, the snes version 3 has bad physics which might've skewed the perception of 3 among those who grew up on the snes.

I'm with you. Super Mario Sunshine is probably one of my favorite Mario games. I wish we would've seen another Mario game like it or 64.

Galaxy is amazing. It's like a combination of Super Mario 64/Sunshine with classic 2d Super Mario. (It's basically a spiritual successor to Donkey Kong Jungle Beat as well which is another reason why I'd suggest playing that game.)
Odyssey is rather mediocre and not very good at all.

I hate Banjo Kazooie. I received $30 as a present when I was 16, (mind you I rarely had money to spend) so I spent it on Rare Replay since I heard Banjo Kazooie was amazing and heavily regretted it. It's worse than 64 in every imaginable way. The physics are jank, the mini games are tedious, and finishing the game is a chore. Banjo Kazooie is to thank for the monstrosity that is Donkey Kong 64.

It's definitely overated. The only games really worth playing are Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Outside of that most of the games have either aged terribly or been outdone by sequels on the GameCube and Wii.

The thought of playing an FPS with an N64 controller is just headache inducing to me.

Nintendo really fucked up when they decided to use cartridges for the N64 and not CDs like what Sony and sega were doing.
All because they were being fat, smelly pussies about people possibly pirating their games

I heard from Larry bundys fact hunt series that the UK's official Dreamcast magazine created the UK piracy market for the Dreamcast by having an action replay as a gift with the mag.
Sega of Europe also may have allowed this to happen because it was increasing UK sales of the Dreamcast.

He's one of my favorite gaming YouTubers eitherway. He may lie sometimes, but he's very entertaining and charming. Fairly nice too. I remember e mailing him some trivia as a kid and he responded in a very kind manner.
