Someone challenged me to prove Jews didn't control or at least heavily influence society via conspiracy.

I looked up a ton of stuff solidly arguing against any of that silliness, then realized that arguing against something so amorphous would be very difficult.

If someone is going to make such bold racial/cultural claims, they should have really done their homework, and have tons of facts to back them up. Simply linking to a propaganda video on Youtube is not good enough.

Also no one here has an ounce of influence on the world, thus trying to make any change against large established systems is as fanciful as trying to convince others that you should be king of the world.

I don't know the legitimacy of the stats in this chart - but there is no question there is a disproportionate amount of Jews in power. To many this fact leads to the conclusion that there is a conspiracy.

But there are other possible answers as well. Jews live in areas where ascent to power is more achievable than bum-fuck nowhere. Jews, culturally, are more expected to exceed academically and business-wise - so Jews have to live up to their stereotype, thus further reinforcing the stereotype (I bet there is a name for this phenomena). And did you know that Jews are (on average) the smartest group of people? My point is that there are many other reasons that can be attributed to the prevalence of Jews in power.

Historically, indeed. The first recorded instance of feminism is during the French Revolution, where freedom of blacks and women was discussed roughly at the same time. The French revolution was everything but Jewish. It was the final and logical result of centuries of technological, military and cultural evolution.

So how do you decide which Jewish accomplishments you want to attribute to Jews (rather than to their environment), and which you want to say were going to happen anyway even without their contributions?
