Just sat down and remembered how stupid I was as a child. I knew not to plug sharp metal objects into sockets but damn did I want the DVD player turned on so I could rewatch Korra (my soyish neighbor used to lend me his CDs.) I couldn't find a Bic cap so I used a screwdriver without an insulated handle. Messed around with it in the plug halfheartedly until I heard a really loud pop and saw sparks fly in front of me. The lights went out for about half an hour after that. I could have died that day lol
