That outlook could contribute to us failing at romance - a lack of trying to understand the female mindset.
That's not to say anime is honest about what women actually react to, mind you - some are more blackpilled than others - but it's still nice to think about the ideals and heroines that women at least hope to emulate even if their hamster brains tend to make them fail at it.

Video games with female protagonists... I almost never play. If a game has a female protagonist, 95% of the time that's a deal-breaker for me.
It's not that I hate women. It's that a) I'm tired of every game having a female lead and b) I'm a guy so I tend to prefer when the character I'm playing is also a guy.
It's odd because in the past it didn't bother me as much. For example Perfect Dark is one of my favourite games ever made, and I've completed Tomb Raider Legend. It was pretty good! I think though when it didn't feel forced into games, it was less common and it also made more sense within that particular game.
Movies and stuff it bothers me less.
