We’re very similar except I didn’t try at all tbh. I hated school and just couldn’t give a shit about any of it. Being bullied by my peers didn’t exactly help my motivation. Still did decent at math tho.

Because the only schooling that matters is a one that will earn you a qualification in a specific area. That's one way to get a good job. Also just being in a job long enough. A crane driver can earn 2000 a day if he has the experience and the right job. tbh I almost became one when I heard of that pay.
